A Narrative Essay by Anna Ricart

Imagine you went somewhere in the world and did everything you wanted. Explain your experience.

Two years ago I went to New York  with my family, we were there for a week. The first thing I saw it was one of those typical yellow American school bus then we went to the hotel and we started visiting the city.

We visited Central Park and I was absolutely amazed with the story of how the park was built, before that we had walked through the 5^th avenue and there I found something very interesting, in the middle of that crowded city in that noisy street was a cathedral. The following days we had visited the World Trade Center and the place where the Twin Tower were, after that we had spend some time in China Town and it was so surprising because it really was like being in China. One day we had lunch in a restaurant in Little Italy, the food tasted very well. Another day we had bought some cupcakes in the most famous bakery in New York, Magnolia Bakery.

New York is an incredible city and I really like to visit it again. Once I read that every city has got a special word and I think that New York’s word is opportunity.
