A topic essay by Júlia Quintillà

'The press has a right to publish photographs and information about the private life of celebrities.' Do you agree?

Nowadays, technology offers great possibilities to the press because they can provide information so quickly. Some people suggest that celebrities should accept that losing their privacy is the price they pay for fame. Personally, I do not believe this.

Firstly, I believe that all humans beings have a right to privacy as they usually are famous because of their job whether they are actors, singers or anything else. Moreover, the more the public read about celebrities, the more obsessed they become with finding out moreand this is a huge problem since celebrities can't do their life normally.

Secondly, people get a lot of enjoyment from reading about their favourite celebrities. Therefore, the more information the press give, the more interest people have.

In conclusion, I'm convinced that the constant attention from paparazzi and reporters can affect the mental health of a celebrity. So, in my view, the press should stop giving a lot of information about famous people.
