A topic essay by Núria Sans

                                         A TOPIC ESSAY

Sometimes, when I search for some information from Internet it is not possible to get rid of celebrities photos or gossips; It is also not possible to avoid popular programmes on television talking about private celebrities' life ; or even when you go to the dentist the gossip magazines are there prepared to be read by everyone waiting for their turns.
Due to this I asked myself what is happening in our country with the private life of actors, singers, actress, writers ….famous and rich people.

On the one hand, it is said that if you are famous or rich you should accept to be in the public eye, so people getting information about your private moments shouldn't be reason for anger. On the other hand it is also said that the media, the press have the right to publish any news about celebrities that could be considered important to their audience .
What do I think about all this staff?

First of all I believe all human beings in the world have the right to privacy. If any rich or famous person doesn't want to let anybody know about what he or she does, eats, wears or says, he or she is within his or her right. His or her opinion must be respected. The media doesn’t have the right to publish all sorts of personal information about them.
Sometimes the Press try to convince us that celebrities need advertising to keep his fame and it is true but if only both parts, celebrity and media agreed . Of course, if people use the media attention to achieve success, later it is going to be very difficult to get rid of it.
When celebrities feel badly and anxious with emotional problems because of paparazzi publishing stories that may destroy lives and careers, then we can say there's a real problem.

Secondly I also take into account that everything has an effect. When some famous or rich people are not enjoying their privacy because of the mass media, this may have a negative effect on his or her family , children and friends. They must be treated as all human beings.

In conclusion, I'm convinced that they must have their private life as anyone else in the world. And I think people should be more conscious about the big industry of this kind of business ( celebrities and press and mass media).
