An opinion essay by Nina Atiega Rubió

An opinion essay

I am against that celebrities are filmed in their most intimate moments and having no privacy, because if I get myself in their place I would not like it.

I think that celebrities are people like us, who have the right to privacity in their lives. They know that the price of being famous is too high. Also they are aware that their life will be on television and people think they know them better and also about their business because they get paid for that, but they do not agree that their intimate moments are filmed.

I think when you go home it isn't nice to see someone following you and taking photos of you. Celebrities must be always in a hurry because they are always persecuted. It's true that when they need to advertise something, they turn to the media.

I would like privacy because if you are at home, they can judge your work but not your life. Also, there are some celebrities who take advantage of the tabloids because they don't get all the fame they would like and meanwhile on TV they are talking about them.

In summary, my opinion is that I am against the paparazzi that are chasing celebrities, even in the most private and intimate moments. We all like being able to judge the lives of others but if we think about it, being famous is not as much fun as it sounds because you have no privacy and this is a very important factor in a person's life.
